Centre for Public Law: Lecture by The Hon Justice J D Heydon AC - 'Are Bills of Rights Really Necessary in Common Law Systems?'

The Centre for Public Law will host a lunchtime lecture by The Hon. Justice J D Heydon AC, entitled "Are bills of rights really necessary in common law systems?"

Justice Heydon was appointed a Justice of the High Court of Australia in 2003. He was previously a Judge of Appeal in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Professor and Dean of the University of Sydney Law School, a Fellow of Keble College Oxford, a Rhodes Scholar, and winner of the Vinerian Scholarship and Martin Wronker Prize at the University of Oxford.

The lecture will be held on Monday 21 January, 2013 at 1.00pm in G24.
