badenoch-261.jpgThe Baron de Lancey Medical Law Lecture 2016 will take place on Friday 5 February 2016 at 5.00pm in Lecture Theatre LG 18.

The speaker will be Mr James Badenoch QC who acted as counsel for the successful appellant before the UK Supreme Court in Montgomery v Lanarkshire Health Board [2015] UKSC 11. The decision concerned a medical practitioner's duty to disclose information to their patient as part of securing the patient's consent to undergo medical treatment.

The lecture will be of interest to those working on any aspect of medical law and professional regulation or liability and should be of particular interest for undergraduates currently studying the Law of Tort and postgraduates studying Law, Medicine and Life Sciences on the LLM.

The lecture will be followed by Q&A and a drinks reception.

Attendance is free but registration at Eventbrite is essential at.
