Friday, 26 April 2024 - 10.30am
Location:
Faculty of Law, LG17

The Microsoft/Activision Blizzard case is arguably the most controversial merger case in recent years, with the European Commission clearing it subject to contentious behavioural remedies and the UK Competition & Markets Authority initially prohibiting the merger, resulting in the Activision CEO saying “the UK is closed for business” and the UK Chancellor of the Exchequer warning the CMA to be mindful of its “wider responsibilities for economic growth”.

Ricardo Zimbron and Marc Zedler who led the investigation at the Competition and Markets Authority and at the European Commission respectively will be discussing their decisions and answering questions posed by Gavin Robert, affiliated lecturer on the MCL and Competition Law LLM, as well as the audience.

The talk will take place in LG17 from 10.30am - 12pm.
