Applications are invited for appointment, to a 12-hour College Lectureship in Law together with a Fellowship, tenable for five years in the first instance. The successful applicant will assist in supervising, directing studies and other related administrative duties in Law in the College.

The successful applicant will supervise at least two papers, to include either (i) preferably, two of Tort, Civil (Roman) Law, Constitutional Law and Land Law; or (ii) one of those papers plus another paper not already taught by any of the other four members of the existing law staff. The successful applicant will also be expected to take a leading role in coordinating the college’s undergraduate admissions work and to undertake a range of widening participation activities. Preference may be given in particular to applicants who are able to offer teaching in Tort.

The Lectureship will require 12 hours per week of College teaching (for 20 weeks per year). The stipend will be in the range £38,985 to £57,045 per annum, together with other benefits of College membership. The starting point is usually point 5 on the scale.

  • a curriculum vitae, including a statement of qualifications, publications, and teaching experience;
  • the names of three referees (at least one outside of Cambridge) who should be asked to submit references by the closing date.
