Lawrence Sherman Knighted by King of Sweden

Professor Lawrence Sherman, Director of Law Faculty’s Institute of Criminology, was Knighted by King Carl XVI Gustav of Sweden for his services to Sweden and its Ministry of Justice.

Appointed "Commander of the Order of the Polar Star (KNO)", he joins an order whose first civilian member was the 18th Century botanist Carl Linneaus. The appointment, signed by the King on 14th June 2016, was announced by Swedish Minister of Justice Morgan Johansson at the 11th Stockholm Criminology Symposium.
