Dr Lorand Bartels has been appointed as a Specialist Adviser to the House of Commons Select Committee on International Trade. 

The International Trade Committee was created by the House of Commons in October 2016 to examine the expenditure, administration and policy of the Department for International Trade and its associated public bodies. Specialist Advisers provide expert advice to to the Committee team and Members by making written contributions to briefing and draft reports and oral contributions at Committee meetings.

Last month, the International Trade Committee announced an inquiry into UK trade options after Brexit; the first evidence session is available online.
