Professor Brian Cheffins Elected Fellow of the British AcademyThe Faculty warmly congratulates Professor Brian Cheffins on his election as a Fellow of the British Academy.

Professor Cheffins is an expert in the areas of corporate law and corporate governance, with particular emphasis on economic and comparative dimensions. He has also written widely on the historical development of publicly traded corporations, focusing primarily on Britain and the United States. Professor Cheffins has published numerous articles on these topics and has authored three books. His fourth book, The Public Company Transformed, written under the auspices of a Leverhulme Major Research Fellowship, will be published by Oxford University Press in September of this year.

At Faculty level, Professor Cheffins played an integral role in establishing the Law Faculty's Masters of Corporate Law programme. He will serve as Chair of the Law Faculty in 2018-19.
