CILJThe Cambridge International Law Journal ('CILJ') is pleased to invite submissions of abstracts of papers to be considered for presentations at the 13th Annual Conference of the CILJ. The Conference will take place at the Faculty on 8–9 April 2024. The topic of the Conference is 'The Intersection of Peace and Sustainability in International Law'.

The separate concepts of peace and sustainability feature in a significant number of international legal instruments, and are of notable interest to all stakeholders in international law. The former is foundational to international law, whilst the latter is emerging – but both concepts are in a constant process of evolution and development.

Despite the growing importance of the relationship and inter-dependence between the concepts of peace and sustainability, little attention has been paid to this nexus in international legal scholarship. The Conference therefore invites the joint consideration of the concepts of peace and sustainability in international law, and the contemplation of their intersection.

For more information about the conference please refer to the CILJ website.

The CILJ invite all interested scholars to submit an abstract by 23:59 GMT, 7 January 2024. They welcome submissions from PhD students, early career researchers and established academics. The selected papers will be presented at the Conference, and all conference presenters will have the opportunity to submit their papers for consideration for publication in Volume 13(2) of the CILJ.

For further information, please contact the Conference Conveners at conference@cilj.co.uk.
