CV / Biography

Elizabeth is the Slaughter and May Lecturer in Corporate Law, and a Fellow and College Lecturer at Magdalene College. Elizabeth previously qualified as a solicitor and practised at a City law firm.  Her research interests include corporate law and capital markets regulation, with particular reference to EU financial market regulation.

Elizabeth has been a visiting scholar at Columbia Law School, and at the Otto Hahn Group on Financial Regulation at the Max Planck Institute in Munich. She was awarded the Des Voeux Chambers Cambridge-HKU Visiting Fellowship in 2018, and has been selected to participate in the academic exchange between Cambridge and the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and Private International Law in Hamburg in 2019. She is part of the Faculty of Law research group awarded funding under the Cambridge-LMU initiative. She is currently a member of the Consultative Working Group of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA)'s Corporate Finance Standing Committee.
