CV / Biography

Dr Joanna Gomula, LLM (University of Warsaw), LLM (University of Michigan), PhD (Polish Academy of Sciences) works primarily in the field of WTO law. Joanna has been associated for many years with the Centre for Commercial Law Studies and the Faculty of Law, Queen Mary College, University of London, where she has lectured WTO dispute settlement, international economic law and international environmental law. She is also responsible for the World Trade Law course of the External LLM programme at University of London. She practiced for several years at White & Case and is a member of the New York Bar. Since 2005 Joanna has been a visiting lecturer at the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna where she teaches international economic law. She has taught and lectured at the University of Nanterre in Paris, University of Cardinal Wyszynski in Warsaw, University of Hong Kong, the Academy of Economics in Katowice, and the University of Bocconi in Milan. She has been the co-editor of the ICSID Reports. She is also on the Board of Editors of the Global Community Yearbook of International Law and Jurisprudence (ed. Guiliana Ziccardi Capaldo) and the Academic Review Board of the Cambridge International Law Journal. She is a member of the ILA Committee on the Procedure of International Courts and Tribunals.
