On July 26, 2017 we will be hosting Professor Jonathan B. Wiener, the William R. and Thomas L. Perkins Professor of Law at Duke Law School, Professor of Environmental Policy at the Nicholas School of the Environment, and Professor of Public Policy at the Sanford School of Public Policy, at Duke University. Before coming to Duke, Prof Wiener worked on U.S. and international environmental policy at the White House Council of Economic Advisers, at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, and at the US Department of Justice, serving in both the first Bush and Clinton administrations.

Prof Wiener will be talking about "The Tragedy of the Uncommons" and environmental law. The event will take place on Wednesday, 26 July 2017, 17:15 – 19:00 at Mill Lane Lecture Room 2, 8 Mill Lane, Cambridge CB2 1RX. It will be hosted by Julius Weitzdoerfer, Affiliated Lecturer, Faculty of Law, and Research Associate, Centre for the Study of Existential Risk.
