Thursday, 3 October 2019 - 9.00am
Location:
Trinity College

The Cambridge Private Law Centre is organising a conference on 3-4 October 2019 at Trinity College, Cambridge entitled 'Challenging Private Law'.

The project is to mark the retirement of Lord Sumption from the Supreme Court, and the aim is to use that occasion as a springboard to debate current and future issues in private law. Sessions will cover issues in contract, tort, unjust enrichment, equity, company, commercial, civil procedure, and private international law. The 22 contributors are a mix of Faculty members, academics from other institutions, and practitioners.

The conference is a small affair and will be conducted along Finn/Birks lines (i.e. by way of a roundtable discussion on draft papers rather than lengthy presentations from contributors). We would be delighted if members of Faculty would like to attend sessions of particular interest or, indeed, the whole two day conference.

Numbers are tightly constrained.  For more information and to enquire about attending, please contact William Day at wad24@cam.ac.uk or Sarah Worthington at sew1003@cam.ac.uk.
