Title:  "Membership of the EU: Formal and Substantive Dimensions"

Abstract: This lecture considers what EU membership connotes, viewed both formally and substantively. This is a topic of interest and importance, albeit one that is not commonly tackled head on. The discussion will include consideration of the formal and substantive dimensions of ceasing to be a member of the EU, which thereby brings Brexit into the analytical frame.
