CANCELLATION: THIS SEMINAR AND ALL THE REMAINING MONTHLY SEMINARS FOR THE CURRENT ACADEMIC YEAR ARE CANCELED.  WE HOPE THAT THE MONTHLY SEMINARS WILL RESUME IN THE AUTUMN.

The Cambridge Forum for Legal & Political Philosophy will host its monthly seminar on Wednesday, April 22nd, at 3:00pm, in Room S19 of the Law Faculty Building.

Karamvir Chadha, who is finishing his dissertation as a PhD student in the Philosophy Faculty, will be chairing the session.  For the reading, he has chosen the article "Do Animals and Dead People Have Any Legal Rights?" by Matthew Kramer.  It can be downloaded from the Canadian Journal of Law & Jurisprudence.  (A NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:  I prefer the version that is the first main section of my 2001 essay in Rights, Wrongs, and Responsibilities.  However, as far as I know, the PDF file of that essay is not freely available on line; it is behind a paywall at Palgrave Macmillan.  Still, the hard copy of the book is available at approximately 20 college libraries, and it is available in multiple copies at the Squire Law Library and the University Library.  Thus, you may wish to peruse that version.)

Everyone is welcome to attend the seminar.
