Wednesday, 20 October 2021 - 6.00pm
Location:
Online webinar

We will be examining the balance of power between the Government and Parliament. Can the Government make any law it wishes? Or is it constrained by backbench and opposition MPs? We will also ask why this matters in a constitutional system with a sovereign Parliament.

Confirmed speakers include Professor Mark Elliott, University of Cambridge, Professor David Howarth, University of Cambridge and Professor Meg Russell, University College, London and the Constitution Unit.

Prior to the webinar each speaker will record a short lecture that will be available to download, leaving plenty of time for debate and discussion in the webinar.
