Lucy Cavendish CollegeApplications are invited from suitably qualified women* for the post of College Teaching Officer (CTO) in Law at Lucy Cavendish College. The post will begin on 1st September 2018 and is tenable for three years in the first instance.

Lucy Cavendish College is a strong and diverse intellectual community uniquely for women over 21. Part of the collegiate University of Cambridge, the College was founded in 1965 and currently has 34 Fellows and 6 Research Fellows; an expanding student body of approximately 390, a third of whom are mature undergraduates, the other two thirds graduate students; and 35 FTE members of staff.

The CTO will be expected to undertake 12 hours teaching a week for the College (or an equivalent number of hours within the Faculty of Law) and to assume the role of Director of Studies for Law. Students attend lectures within the Faculty of Law and have small group teaching (supervisions) within the College to consolidate their knowledge and to prepare for University examinations. The College is seeking a specialist in any field, including medical law, but with the expectation that the appointed woman would be able to supervise one of the first year papers (Tort, Criminal law or Constitutional law) and a second foundation subject (Contract, Equity, EU or Land law).

To learn more about this post or to make an informal enquiry please refer to the Lucy Cavendish website, or contact the Senior Tutor, Jane Greatorex, 01223 332175, jg10018@cam.ac.uk.

Closing date for applications is 9am on Monday 4th June 2018.

Interviews will be held on 15th June 2018.
