Fernando Lusa Bordin awarded ICLQ Young Scholar of the Year prizeThe Faculty is delighted to congratulate Sidney Sussex Law Fellow Fernando Lusa Bordin on his success in being awarded the 2014 ICLQ Young Scholar of the Year prize for his article 'Reflections of Customary International Law: The Authority of Codification Conventions and ILC Draft Articles in International Law'.

Dr Bordin will be awarded his prize at the 2015 Annual ICLQ Lecture which will take place at the British Institute of International and Comparative Law on 13 April in London. 

The winning article has been published in the ICLQ by Cambridge University Press, and is available online to subscribers.

Sidney Sussex has a connection with distinguished international lawyers from Brazil. Judge Antônio Augusto Cançado Trindade on the ICJ completed his PhD at Sidney during the 1970s and it won a Yorke Prize.
