Alumni events

The Faculty of Law regularly holds events open to its alumni and supporters to attend. The University of Cambridge holds a number of alumni events throughout the year in various locations around the globe.

The University’s annual Alumni Festival takes place annually in September.

Cambridge Women in Law (CWIL) was launched in 2019 to mark the contribution of women in Law and, in particular, to celebrate the contribution of Cambridge alumnae both to legal practice and the wider world. The launch event marked the centenary of the passing of the Sex Disqualification Act 1919, when women were finally allowed to practise law.

On 18 September 2026 CWIL will host a panel discussion entitled 'AI's impact on legal education' as part of the annual Cambridge Alumni Festival. For more information and to book a place, please refer to the Festival website.
