Thursday, 23 February 2017 - 1.00pm
Location:
Faculty of Law, B16

Come join us for our first Pre - Arbitration Lunch Seminar. Two Cambridge alumni will share their views on Third Party Funding in International Arbitration. It will be a great opportunity to learn about arbitration from the perspective of both an associate and partner.

Kenneth D. Beale is fellow Cantab who is a seasoned arbitration practitioner (Partner) with Boies, Schiller & Flexner (UK) LLP. Before joining BSF, he was with WilmerHale DC for over a decade and has extensively worked on commercial arbitrations in the States, the continent, the CIS region, and Asia.

Maria Polakova is fellow Cantab whose primary practice focus is investor-state and commercial international and domestic litigation cases. As an associate at Squire Patton Boggs International Dispute Resolution Group she worked on arbitrations under UNCITRAL and ICSID rules.

The event will take place in room B16 on the 23 February 2017. We will provide sandwiches and drinks at 12:45pm and this will be a great chance to network with our speakers. We will then start the seminar at 1pm and finish sharp at 2pm.

As a prelude to the 17 and 18 March 2017 Cambridge Arbitration Day "Winds of Change / Rethinking the Future of International Arbitration" we are organizing two Pre - Arbitration lunch seminars. Second seminar will take place on Thursday, 2 March 2017.
