Speaker: Dr Cristina Volpin, CCLS Queen Mary, University of London

Dr Cristina Volpin is an associate lecturer and fellow in competition law at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary University of London. She has more than 5 years of experience as a lawyer gained at two top-tier Italian law firms (Gianni Origoni Grippo Cappelli & Partners, and Chiomenti). She advised on various international projects, including the Study on the Passing-on of Overcharges awarded by the European Commission and a study on the review of the European Merger Regulation regarding minority shareholdings.

Cristina is guest editor of the Antitrust Bulletin and she has published in leading journals. Her book on the rules of evidence in EU competition law is forthcoming, along with other publications on the interaction between IP and competition law and on innovation and competition law. She graduated in Law from the University of Padua and holds a Ph.D. in EU Competition Law from the same University. She was a Visiting Research student at University College London, where she is a Fellow at the Centre for Law, Economics and Society.
