CULS Pro Bono, in conjunction with Amicus, is delighted to present this talk by Ian Woods, a Senior Correspondent for Sky News and author of Surviving Execution, on the true story of a death row inmate awaiting execution whose case could help end capital punishment.

Over his 30-year international career as a journalist, Ian has covered stories worldwide. However, there has never been a story he has devoted as much time to as his friendship with Richard Glossip, a death row inmate who has always insisted on his innocence.

Ever since coming across the case one quiet afternoon, Ian has tirelessly campaigned to bring the injustices Glossip has faced to the world's attention. Three times in 2015, Richard Glossip came within hours of execution, which was postponed each time by last-minute stays; Ian was with him every time in prison as a witness to the execution.

Join us for this talk on the true story of a life on death row, recounted by a man with unparalleled first-hand knowledge, access to, and understanding of, the case.
