The Cambridge Arbitration Society (CUArb) is pleased to invite you to its next in-person seminar for the Easter Term. The session will be focused on Taxation and International Investment Arbitration and will take place on Friday, 5 May at 12pm noon at the Faculty of Law, Room B16.

We have the honour to be welcoming Audley Sheppard KC from Clifford Chance.

Audley Sheppard KC is a partner in the London office of Clifford Chance LLP and the global co-head of the firm’s international arbitration group. He has over 30 years’ experience in the resolution of disputes arising out of major infrastructure and energy projects and international trade and investments, as counsel and arbitrator. He is a frequent speaker and writer on investment protection issues. He is the Vice-President of ICCA International Council for Commercial Arbitration Executive Body. In January 2017, he was named chairman of the London Court of International Arbitration Board and, in February 2015, he was made QC. Audley has been a member of the ICC Court of Arbitration, co-chair of the International Bar Association arbitration committee and rapporteur of the International Law Association arbitration committee. He has degrees from the Victoria University, New Zealand (LLB (Hons) and B Comm) and the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom (LLM).

Subject to interest on the day, and following the discussion on taxation and ISDS, Audley has also offered to discuss/answer questions on Careers in International Arbitration at the end of the session.

See also attached our term card with information for all our lectures this Easter term.
We are looking forward to seeing many of you there!
