The Cambridge Centre for Animal Rights Law is pleased to announce the fourth annual European Animal Rights Law Conference, which will take place from 12-13 August 2023 at Clare College, Cambridge. This year's Conference is on the theme 'Animal Rights in Litigation'.

The Conference features the special panel "Judging Animal Rights" chaired by Lord Justice Singh of the UK Court of Appeal. The panel brings together Judge Athar Minallah (Supreme Court of Pakistan), Judge Karla Andrade Quevedo (Constitutional Court of Ecuador), and Judge María Alejandra Mauricio (Third Court of Guarantees of the Judiciary in Mendoza, Argentina), who have decided ground-breaking animal rights law cases.

The Conference will also feature presentations by influential scholars from Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, the UK, and the US. The keynote address will be delivered by Professor Maneesha Deckha (University of Victoria) on "Animalization and Dehumanization Concerns".
