Online webinar

Calling all prospective and current University students interested in learning about Law at Cambridge and the exciting and impactful career paths available to Law graduates! The Faculty of Law at the University of Cambridge is excited to introduce its first annual Exploring Legal Futures webinar. This series of free online events will provide those interested in studying and practicing law with key information to inform their decision on which legal path may be right for them. With talks by leading legal professionals, Cambridge lecturers, and current students, there are talks available for anyone interested in studying law and exploring future career paths in and around the legal sector.

This session will be led by alumni now working at Magic circle law firm Slaughter & May. Partner, Kevin Howes, will be joined by a 1st seat trainee to share their experiences, both from the side of applicant and assessor during interviews for internships, vacation schemes and training contracts. They will give top tips on how to prepare and how to stand out in a very competitive application pool. The session will also look to provide an insight into life as a trainee at Slaughter and May, and will unpick the experiences of a Cambridge graduate’s pathway into the firm and how they are finding life in their early-career.
