The David P. Farrington Memorial Symposium

Join past and present criminology scholars and students from across the globe to celebrate the extraordinary work of the late Professor David P. Farrington

We invite you to celebrate David’s scholarly contributions and to discuss extensions and innovations based on his ideas amongst some of his closest colleagues.  Recognising David’s collaborative and inclusive approach, we will have four thematic panels reflecting areas where David has made pathbreaking contributions, namely:

• Advancing the Scientific Bases for Criminology

• Pushing the Boundaries of Knowledge on Human Development and Crime

• Generating Knowledge for Prevention and Intervention

• Globalising Criminology

This event runs from 9am to 5pm. The day will end with thoughts from senior academics and discuss ideas for mentoring and collaboration to take forward David's extraordinary work.
