Cesar Pereira C.Arb FCIArb is Deputy President of Ciarb and President-elect for 2026. An arbitrator, counsel, and legal expert based in São Paulo, he specialises in complex disputes involving states, SOEs, and private parties across infrastructure, oil & gas and regulated industries. A Chartered Arbitrator and Fellow of Ciarb, he has sat under ICC, AAA/ICDR, CAM-CCBC and other major rules, and is a long-standing partner at Justen, Pereira, Oliveira & Talamini. He is also a prolific scholar and legal expert, with over 100 articles published and with visiting posts at Columbia, European Institute, Nottingham, and George Washington.
Dr Crina Baltag is Associate Professor in International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution at Queen Mary University of London, and qualified attorney-at-law, with over twenty years of extensive practice in various aspects on international dispute resolution. Crina is the chair of the Academic Council of the Institute for Transnational Arbitration, and the Director of the Diploma Course on International Commercial Arbitration of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Crina has been appointed as arbitrator in numerous arbitrations under the rules of the ICC, LCIA, SIAC, SCC, DIAC, CAM-CCBC etc., and has acted as expert and counsel in various international commercial and investment arbitrations.
