Speaker: Susanne Baer, former Justice of the German Federal Constitutional Court

Biography: Susanne Baer is former Justice of the German Federal Constitutional Court, visiting Professor of Public Law and Gender Studies at LSE and Global Faculty at Michigan Law School. 

Abstract: In this talk, Susanne will discuss the current state of constitutionalism, the concept for a democracy bound to and by human rights and fair politics. She has recently published a bestseller on the German Federal Constitutional Court , "Rote Linien", is the author of the leading textbook on law and society, "Rechtssoziologie", and co-author of Dorsen et al. "Comparative Constitutionalism" She also serves as the President of the German Women´s Lawyers Association and works on law against inequality.
