On 8–9 July 2026, The Centre for European Legal Studies (CELS), is organising a Symposium on the Constitutional Architecture of EU Values. The symposium is convened by Dr Mohamed Moussa and its various sessions are chaired by members of the Faculty of Law including: Professor Catherine Barnard, Professor Albertina Albors-Llorens, Dr Emilija Leinarte, Dr Sophie Turenne, and Mr Nabil Khabirpour.
The symposium brings together leading scholars and practitioners from the Court of Justice of the European Union, University of Cambridge, the Max Planck Institute, Humboldt University of Berlin, Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Leiden University, University of Madrid, University of Glasgow, King's College London, University of Warwick, and the University of Copenhagen.
The participants are contributing to a forthcoming special issue on EU values in the Cambridge Yearbook of European Legal Studies.
