Activities
The programme will feature a number of taster lectures on various aspects of legal study, which will allow participants a view into what studying the subject at university and Cambridge looks like. These will be delivered by Faculty academic staff, who will also be on hand to answer questions from attendees. Additionally, students will benefit from workshops and Q and A sessions with lawyers from our Access and Widening Participation law firms.
There will be plenty of opportunities to socialise with other participants, including free time to explore the city and the Colleges. The evenings will be dedicated to social activities and Law-related events so that you can develop an understanding of the super-curricular exploration undergraduate students do for their degree outside of their primary teaching hours.
Staying in Cambridge
Delegates will stay in undergraduate accommodation in one of the Cambridge colleges, to get a unique view of life as a Cambridge student. All meals will be provided from dinner on Monday evening until Thursday breakfast.
We aim to provide delegates with a realistic experience of university life. This will involve a certain degree of independence for the students, which we expect that they will treat with respect.
The Conference Committee and Outreach Coordinator will be on call 24 hours a day throughout the Conference, and each College has a team of Porters on site for 24 hours a day. In the event of an emergency, we will contact the emergency contact provided.
Travel
Delegates must make their own arrangements for transportation to and from Cambridge. Further information on where and when to arrive will be available to delegates once they have confirmed their conference place.
