CV / Biography

Dr Benjamin Spagnolo teaches civil (Roman) law and public law; his recent book, The Continuity of Legal Systems in Theory and Practice (2015), traverses legal philosophy and Australian and Imperial constitutional law and history. From 2012-2016, he was the Penningtons Student (Fellow) and Tutor in Law at Christ Church, Oxford, having previously taught at the University of Western Australia and at a dozen colleges in Oxford. Ben also served as Mooting Coordinator for the Oxford Law Faculty from 2008 to 2010 and as Sub-Dean at Magdalen College in 2011-2012. He was admitted was a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2006 and served as Associate to the Chief Justice of Australia in 2007-2008.
