Interests

My research interests lie in the areas of commercial remedies and corporate finance.

CV / Biography

I am a practising lawyer with extensive multi-jurisdictional transaction experience.

I teach the debt part of the Corporate Finance LLM paper and contribute to the course on the law and practice of corporate transactions – the "Deals Course" – which is part of the Masters in Corporate Law program.

In 2012-2014 I was responsible for setting up and running the Deals Course.  The Deals Course concerned the legal aspects of commercial transactions such as private equity/venture capital investments, company sale and purchase transactions, leveraged acquisition financings and public company take-overs.

In private practice I lead a broad range of complex financing transactions, particularly in central Europe.  My practice also covers commercial contracts, corporate joint ventures and business acquisitions.

I have also served as assistant parliamentary counsel with the United Kingdom Parliamentary Counsel Office working on, among other things, the Companies Act 2006 and the Legal Services Act 2007.

At Oxford University I taught contract, and aspects of tort, trusts and the law of corporate finance.
