Thursday, 24 October 2019 - 11.00am
Location:
Faculty of Law, G28 (The Beckwith Moot Court Room)

We are pleased to announce that the Critical Perspectives on Law, Technology & Society Reading Group will return for the 2019/20 academic year.

Our first meeting will take place Thursday October 24th from 11:00h-13:00h in the Moot Court Room at the Faculty of Law. If you are interested in attending the reading group, please sign up online.

A copy of the reading list is available online.

Each week we assign three readings (of reasonable length!) and come together to discuss the legal, economic, and social issues of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Internet of Things, but also the paradigms they create such as Surveillance Capitalism and the ‘Gig Economy’.

No prior background in 'tech' is required, we only ask you come prepared to debate, discuss, and think both critically and laterally.
