CELS Online Seminar: 'When is Competition Toxic, who pushes it, and what can we do about it?

Speakers:

  • Maurice Stucke, Douglas A. Blaze Distinguished Professor of Law, University of Tennessee.
  • Ariel Ezrachi, Slaughter and May Professor of Competition Law, University of Oxford, and Director of the University of Oxford Centre for Competition Law and Policy.

Authors of the highly influential "Virtual Competition: The Promise and Perils of the Algorithm-Driven Economy" and the recently published "Competition Overdose".

This latest work aims to show how society overprescribed competition as a solution, can hurt consumers, kill entrepreneurship and increases economic inequality.

It promises to be a stimulating event.

This paper was intended to launch the 'Fundamentals of Competition' workshop organised by CELS and the Competition Law Scholars Forum.
