Robinson College CambridgeRobinson College invites applications for a Fellowship and College Lectureship in Law for a fixed term of three years with effect from October 2023. The position, with a focus on both teaching and research, is likely to suit academics early in their career. Robinson has a distinguished record of legal scholarship, with our Life/Emeritus Fellows including Professor Christopher Forsyth and Professor David Yates. Our Warden, Sir Richard Heaton, was formerly the Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Justice and Clerk of the Crown in Chancery. The successful candidate will work alongside the current Law Fellows, Dr Elaine Freer, Dr Brian Sloan and Professor Alison Young, and will be expected to play a full part in the teaching and administration of Law within the College, as well as engaging in their own independent research. There are normally 6 undergraduate students in each year of the Law Tripos. The appointment is subject to the Statutes and Ordinances of the College.

It is envisaged that the successful candidate will be an outstanding researcher with an infectious enthusiasm for the teaching of their subject. They should hold a PhD in Law or be close to submitting their PhD by September 2023.

The stipend of a College Lecturer, which is pensionable under USS, is of the range £34,314 – £39,592, being steps 40-45 on the University scale.
