Sutton Trust Logo Summer School in Law, Cambridge 2008

In the week beginning 14th July, the Law Faculty hosted the annual Sutton Trust Summer School in Law for twenty three sixth formers from around the country. The aim of the Trust is to provide educational opportunities to young people from non-privileged backgrounds, to encourage them to consider applying to University, and to Cambridge. The week culminated in a mock trial featuring the 'death' of a student at the Cambridge Faculty of Law, with students playing all the major roles, including solicitors, barristers, and even defendant!

A gallery of photographs from the event is available online, and news report of the case written by the students are also available: report 1, report 2.

The project was also featured on the central University website.
