Sir Lawrence Collins Appointed Lord of Appeal in Ordinary

Many congratulations to Sir Lawrence Collins, Emeritus Fellow of Wolfson and Honorary Fellow of Downing, who has been appointed a Lord of Appeal in Ordinary.

He is the first solicitor to have become a Lord of Appeal without practising at the bar, and is appointed shortly before the House of Lords becomes the Supreme Court.
