Death of Professor Sir David Williams

It is with great sadness that we report the death of Professor Sir David Williams, who passed away on 6 September.

Professor Sir David was a life and honorary fellow of Emmanuel College, formerly Vice-Chancellor of the University (1989-96), President of Wolfson College, and Rouse Ball Professor of English Law, and will be very deeply missed as a long-standing and very active member of the Faculty.

The funeral of Sir David will take place at Emmanuel College on Wednesday 16 September 2009 at 2pm - family flowers only. As a mark of respect, the Faculty and Squire Law Library will be closed that day.
