M K Nambiyar Endowment ProgrammeOn 22nd September Professor of Public Law and Private International Law, delivered the first M K Nambiyar Endowment Lecture on 'The Province of Legitimate Expectations Redefined'.

Supreme Court Judge K.S. Radhakrishnan inaugurated the endowment instituted the endowment at National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS) which has been instituted in memory of eminent Supreme Court Lawyer M.K. Nambiyar, the Supreme Court Judge said that it was Nambiyar who had helped the Supreme Court in interpreting the scope and extent of fundamental rights.  He said Nambiyar was held in high esteem by the lawyer fraternity in the Supreme Court and other courts.

The National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS) was established by Act 27 of 2005 of the Kerala State Legislature. By the same Act, the National Institute for Advanced Legal Studies (NIALS) established by the Bar Council of Kerala Trust in 2002 merged with the NUALS. It is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
