Appointment of Chancellor of High Court

The Faculty notes with pleasure the appointment of The Right Honourable Lord Justice Etherton as Chancellor of the High Court with effect from 11 January 2013.

Sir Terence read law at Corpus Christi College. He was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1974 and became a Queen’s Counsel in 1990. He was appointed a High Court Judge in 2001. He served as Chairman of the Law Commission between 2006 and 2009. In 2008 he was appointed a Lord Justice of Appeal.
