Professor Lawrence Sherman Named Director of College of Policing

Professor Lawrence Sherman, Wolfson Professor of Criminology and Director of the Institute of Criminology has been announced as a Director of the new College of Policing. A milestone was reached on Tuesday 19th February as the College of Policing's newly appointed Chair, Professor Shirley Pearce, chaired the first meeting of the Board of Directors.

The College of Policing is the new professional body for the police service. Its creation represents a fundamental and important change to the policing landscape.
