Clive Lewis, QC Appointed to the High Court BenchThe Faculty notes with pleasure the appointment of Clive Lewis, QC to the High Court Bench. A Welshman by origin, he was until his elevation to the Bench the First Counsel to the Welsh government. A Cambridge man by adoption, he read law at Churchill and later, from 1986 to 1993, was a Fellow of Selwyn College and a University Lecturer. After leaving academic life his academic interests continued. He wrote Judicial Remedies in Public Law (the 4th edition of which appeared in 2009), and then Remedies for the Enforcement of European Community Law in 1996. He has also kept in touch with his College and the Faculty, being a frequent and welcome visitor to events relating to public law and EU law.

Mr Lewis will be sworn in on Thursday 13 June 2013 by The Lord Chief Justice.
