University of CambridgeThe University of Cambridge secured top ranking this weekend in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2014 league tables, and the Faculty of Law was ranked No. 1 for Law.

The awards rank institutions with reference to a wide variety of criteria, including UCAS tariff points, completion rates, facilities spend, academic success, graduate prospects, student/staff ratio, research quality and student satisfaction rates.

Topping the table for Law, the Faculty beat the London School of Economics and Political Science into second place, with the University of Oxford placing third. In the overall University tables, the University of Cambridge overtook Oxford to fill the No. 1 position.

The Faculty's strategic aim is to maintain its position as a leading international law school that is at the forefront of legal research and in which connections between research and teaching are highly valued. Faculty level teaching is supplemented by the College-based supervision system, which provides an unrivalled level of interaction between students and lecturers. The Faculty is gratified that this approach is being recognised by external assessors.
