Faculty of Law Enters Pathway Agreement with Sydney UniversityThe Faculty of Law is pleased to announce a new partnership with Sydney Law School, having entered into a pathways agreement with the Australian institution.

The agreement will allow high achieving Sydney students the opportunity of commencing the LLM or the Masters degree in Corporate Law (MCL) at the Cambridge Faculty after the completion of five semesters at Sydney. Instead of completing the final semester of law at Sydney students will commence either the LLM or the MCL. Upon successful completion, students will be awarded the Sydney LLB or the Sydney JD. The time to complete the program will be three and half years instead of the normal four years.

Sydney Law School joins Harvard Law School which offers a similar programme.

Professor Eilís Ferran, Chair of the Faculty Board, welcomed the announcement, saying "The Faculty is delighted to have this opportunity to strengthen our relationship with Sydney Law School. The pathways agreement, which for us is the first of its kind with an Australian law school, builds on many years of happy experience of exceptional Australian law students coming to Cambridge for our LLM and, more recently, the MCL".
