University of Cambridge Faculty of LawThe University of Cambridge has secured top ranking in the Complete University Guide league table for the fourth year running, and the Faculty of Law retained its No. 1 ranking for Law.

The awards which are compiled by Mayfield University Consultants, rank universities in nine quality factors which are considered important to students.  Information is compiled from data from a broad range of sources including the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA), the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) (along with the Scottish Higher Education Funding Council (SHEFC) and the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales (HEFCW)), the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise, and the National Student Survey (NSS).

Topping the table for Law, the Faculty beat Oxford into second place, with the London School of Economics and Political Science placing third.  The position echos the Faculty's No. 1 ranking in the Times University Guide 2014.

The Faculty's strategic aim is to maintain its position as a leading international law school that is at the forefront of legal research and in which connections between research and teaching are highly valued. Faculty level teaching is supplemented by the College-based supervision system, which provides an unrivalled level of interaction between students and lecturers. The Faculty is gratified that this approach has again been recognised by external assessors.

The Faculty has also made special efforts to encourage increased student engagement with the National Student Survey this year, and looks forward to being able to register a sufficient level of feedback to add the student satisfaction score to the 2016 results.
