Professor Matthew Kramer Elected as Fellow of the British AcademyThe Faculty warmly congratulates Professor Matthew Kramer on his election as a Fellow of the British Academy.

Matthew is a leading scholar in legal philosophy, political philosophy and moral philosophy. He has published fourteen authored books and four co-edited books as well as numerous articles and other papers. International symposia have been organised around his most recent books, The Ethics of Capital Punishment: A Philosophical Investigation of Evil and Its Consequences (OUP, 2011) and Torture and Moral Integrity: A Philosophical Enquiry (OUP, 2014), and these events have led to significant publications in leading journals.

Matthew is the Director of the Cambridge Forum for Legal and Political Philosophy. The Forum promotes discussion and exchanges on topics within legal and philosophical philosophy, and has played a central organizational role in the organization of the annual UK Analytic Legal & Political Philosophy Conference since the first conference in 2008.
