Ridhi Kabra graduated from the University of Cambridge with a first class LLM degree in June 2014. She won First Prize in the inaugural Nappert (Arbitration) Prize 2014. The prize was awarded for her LLM thesis entitled "Has Abaclat v. Argentina left the ICSID with a 'Massive Problem?'" supervised by Dr Michael Waibel. The prize amounts to Can. $4,000 and Ridhi will travel to Montreal in October 2014 to present her paper at a symposium hosted by McGill University. Ridhi is a graduate of the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) in Hyderabad, India.

Hayk Kupelyants was awarded the inaugural Insolvency & Restructuring Research Scholarship awarded by the Insolvency Lawyers' Association. Hayk is a second year PhD student at the Faculty of Law working on sovereign debt litigation, supervised by Professor Richard Fentiman and Dr Michael Waibel. He previously studied in Armenia, France and the UK, and has been serving as a graduate teaching assistant at the Faculty. As part of the scholarship, the ILA invited him to present his research to the ILA's next annual conference in April 2015.
