One Essex CourtThanks to the generosity of the leading set of commercial barristers' chambers One Essex Court, the Faculty of Law is delighted to announce a new scholarship for the Master of Law (LLM) course. The scholarship will be awarded each year to candidates intending to practise at the commercial bar who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement and potential. In awarding the scholarship, the Faculty will prioritise candidates who would otherwise not have the means to provide their course fees. This award is worth £10,000; the successful Scholar will also be offered a mini-pupillage with One Essex Court.

Commenting on this donation, the Chair of the Faculty, Professor Richard Fentiman, said:

"The Faculty is grateful for this generous gift, which will undoubtedly prove a powerful incentive for the best applicants to read for the LLM at Cambridge. We are proud of the outstanding barristers and judges we produce, and this Scholarship will enable access to the LLM and the Bar for a broader range of candidates than ever before."
