Professor Lawrence Sherman was awarded the Wilbur Cross Medal by Yale Graduate School of Arts and Sciences in a ceremony on 24 October.  The Wilbur Cross Medal is Yale Graduate School of Arts and Sciences' highest honour, and was awarded to four alumni of the School at the event.

This year’s recipients were: economist Douglas W. Diamond ’80 Ph.D., feminist scholar Donna J. Haraway ’72 Ph.D., neuroscientist Eric J. Nestler ’76 B.A., ’82 Ph.D., ’83 M.D., and criminologist, Lawrence W. Sherman ’76 Ph.D.

This marks the 52nd year that the Graduate School has honoured its most distinguished alumni with the Wilbur Cross Medal for their outstanding achievements and contribution to society.
