THE 2018The Cambridge Law Faculty is delighted to once again receive recognition as the top academic law school in the UK, having been ranked third in the world - and first outside the USA - in the Times Higher World University Rankings by subject.  This position saw the Faculty rise above several other US competitors from last year.

This also follows the success earlier this year in the 2018 QS Top Universities ranking by subject, where the Faculty moved above the University of Oxford into second place behind Harvard, and the Complete University Guide 2019 subject tables where the Faculty retained its position at number one.

Reflecting on the ranking of the Faculty in these various respected empirical assessments, Professor Brian Cheffins, Chair of the Faculty, commented:

"We are delighted to have the hard work of our Faculty members reflected in these ranking positions.  Our consistently outstanding performance in university league tables is a tribute to the quality of our staff and students and reflects our commitment to excellence in both research and teaching."
