Jorge Viñuales elected to Institut de Droit International

The Lauterpacht Centre for International Law is delighted to announce that Professor Jorge E. Viñuales, Harold Samuel Professor of Law and Environmental Law has been elected to the Institute of International Law at its Hague Session of 2019.

The Institute of International Law (Institut de Droit International) is an organization devoted to the study and development of international law, whose membership comprises the world's leading public international lawyers.

The organization is generally considered the most authoritative world academy of international law, and its work earned the Nobel Peace Prize in 1904.
